Prague, Czech Republic

Here I am overlooking Prague from the castle.  Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic and it sits on both sides of the Vltava river.
This is the medieval old town square which is surrounded by buildings of many architectural styles - baroque, Art Deco, rococo, medieval and gothic.

The building behind me contains a famous clock with the twelve apostles who peek out of windows every hour.

Iceland

Behind me is a Geyser shooting very hot water into the air!
Iceland is a very special island, only two hours by plane from Scotland.  It has volcanoes, geysers, waterfalls, glaciers and icebergs.  The first people to live here were Vikings and they settled here in the year 874.
I saw icebergs at Jokulsarlon!

This is the Solfar sculpture at the harbour in Reykjavik.

Hallgrimskirkja is a famous landmark in Reykjavik., I thought it was like a space rocket!

Here I am at the top of the tower looking down at Reykjavik.
This is where the European and American tectonic plates are pulling apart!

Iceland has many beautiful waterfalls!

I made new friends from Taiwan, they were visiting Iceland too! Lovely to meet you Yun Cheng and Yu Jung!

This is the lagoon at Jokulsarlon where a glacier is ending it's journey from the mountains to the sea.

It was very wet at Gulfoss waterfalls!

Dundee, Scotland

It's good to be home in Dundee, the City of Discovery.  Today I did some tour guiding on the RRS Discovery.  The ship is very famous as it first took explorers such as Captain Scott and Ernest Shackleton all the way to the Antarctic in 1901.  It was built in Dundee and it came back here in 1986 after many adventures. I'm wondering when I might go and explore in Antarctica?!
I took the helm, as we seem to be heading the wrong way!

Just checking we are on the right bearing.

Climbing the rigging.

I had some trouble ringing the bell.

I'm on the bridge.

Playing cards with the crew.

I'm sitting on Antarctica!

With the Captain and crew in the Officer's Wardroom.

I met a lovely lady from S. Africa who was visiting today.

Greece

While the real me is lost in space, the cardboard me has been to Athens, the capital of Greece and to a few of the islands.  They have over 300 islands!
Athens is dominated by the Acropolis a big hill in the middle.  On the Acropolis are many famous buildings such as the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike and The Caryatids.  Ancient Greece was ruled from here and the buildings are some of the most important in the world.

The hill behind me is called the Acropolis

This building is very famous, it is called The Parthenon.
I am on the island of Delos and the buildings here are 4000 years old! Look at the mosaics!

Behind me are the famous Lions of Delos.

This was a shop 4000 years ago.
This stadium is where the very first Olympics began. It's called the Panathenaeic Stadium.
This is Knossos a very ancient city in Crete.

In The palace of Knossos I got told off for the first time in all my travels.
